As your expedition careens around precarious precipices and narrowly escapes collapsing bridges, you’ll wish you never dared to test the wrath of Mara!

Day 6: Your Favorite Adventureland Attraction
Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye
I had difficulty choosing between the Tikki Room and this, but ultimately decided while nostalgia drives my love of the Tikki, sheer bad-assery drives my love of Indy. I remember the first time I went on it I was petrified and I think I closed my eyes through most of it. As an adult of course I’ve seen the entire thing dozens of times, and still get chills when you go over the bridge of fire and giggle when the air darts shoot out at you.

Secrets of Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure
The Chamber of Destiny
SPOILER ALERT: The Chamber of Destiny actually has only one working door with one working track behind it. The walls and ceiling rotate over the real door along with a set of four facades (two on each side) so that three doors are visible at all times. Fake tracks extending to the remaining dummy doors and enhanced lighting effects complete the illusion.
The Making of Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure
Here is a very rare TV special about the making of the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction at Disneyland, starring Karen Allen as Marion Ravenwood and John Rhys-Davies as Sallah. The off-road Adventureland ride has been thrilling guests since it opened in 1995. The video continues in parts two and three.
